Post subject:  Cube Sizes

Hey. Just wanted to say I really love PolyVox. SO I am using the Cubic Surface Extractor, and I was wondering if there was any way to make the blocks bigger. I am guessing that it just makes a cube the size of the grid point the voxel is in, but is there a way to make the individual grid cells larger? I wanted to make a minecraft clone for fun, and so I wanted the blocks to be 1x1x1 meter. Thank you!

The voxels in PolyVox do not have any particular units, in the same way that the coordinate systems in OpenGL or Direct3D do not have units. The size of a voxel is whatever you decide it is.

That said, after you have extracted the mesh you may wish to scale it to match the other elements in your scene. Or, scale the other elements instead and leave the voxel mesh as it is. In either case you perform this scaling through your graphics API rather than through PolyVox.
