Post subject: | Using Directx and PolyVox |
At first "Hello" to all members. As you can see I'm new in this forum. I'm studiing at an university of applied science in Germany (yeah! I'm german) and I have got a subject called "Programming graphics and games 1". In this subject we have to use Directx9 and I#m trying to use Polyvox for a cubic terrain (and it's NOT a minecraftesque game ![]() I have searched for Directx demos or tutorials using Polyvox and i've found nothing. So my question is: Does anybody know a Polyvox demo or tutorial for Directx or has anybody a small demo-source? Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad english ![]() edit: Sry I#ve seen I posted this topic in the wrong forum. Pls move to: "PolyVox Discussion" |

Hi, welcome. There aren't really any DirectX demos that I'm aware of. However, PolyVox is entirly independant of the underlying graphics API (it just generates a list of vertices and indices) so really you just need to learn how to work with vertex and index buffers in DirectX. I think you will be able to find plenty of information about this. This is probably a good starting point: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 85%29.aspx |
