 Post subject: how can i use ProcessVDB for convert .vox to vdb

First of all Thanks , Very usefull and good plugin for ue4.
i tested it but for .vox map how can i convert it ?
in your page " ConvertToVDB.exe -i input.vox -o output.vdb" writting but u said in unity "ConvertToVDB and ConvertToImages now replaced by ProcessVDB tool" But same code not work ?

Ask some questions
1. Can we save .vdb with yours plugin
2. how can i use material set , whats the index volume ?
3. Can i set material only one cubes or must be all same objt parts.
4.Set voxel color ony for visible and hide with alpha ? can i set color ?
I know u are very busy but please answer , Sorry for my bad english.

That looks correct now, so did it work? You should also see this page (though it describes the Unity system instead of the Unreal one): http://www.cubiquity.net/cubiquity-for- ... l_dat.html

If it still doesn't work you can send me an input file and I will test it.

yes, converted and import in ue4, Thanks , I keep trying and test new vox maps.

Actually I am not sure! In the Unity3D version this is indeed possible, but I do now know if it is currently possible in the Unreal version. This is a question for Matt as he did the Unreal work.

The material set is only relevent for the TerrainVolume (the smooth volumes) and does not apply to the ColoredCubesVolume (the cubic volume).

The cubes do not support a material - they only store a single color value. The smooth TerrainVolume does store a material but you are not working with this (right?). There is no 'material index' when working with cubes (it is not like Minecraft).

You can probably apply an Unreal material to the cubes, but the only input will be the color (no texture, etc) from Cubiquity.

I am not quite clear on your question. You can set the color and alpha for any voxel, and you can use the alpha to control whether the voxel is visible.
